Budget Update

Since I've being working on the project, I started some research and bought 2 items (microphone and a digital camera) there will be going to be crucial to take the project into further steps and be ready to be presented for the Museum or any other organisation, exhibition, etc.

Future Plans

The opportunity to present the project idea at the immigration museum and discuss it with the senior curator was incredibly motivating and crucial for receiving feedback and exploring ideas for expanding the project.

As a result, I was able to outline the next steps for the Saudade project more clearly. The exhibition concept expanded beyond showcasing the short animated film to include:

- A dedicated space featuring photographs of immigrants and items (or photos of items) that evoke feelings of longing for their homeland, fostering emotional connections.

- A short documentary highlighting the immigration system's evolution over the past 30 years, blending informative elements with personal stories and emotional perspectives.

- Incorporating the word "saudade" into a mural or artistic piece, translated (or as closely as possible) into multiple languages to promote broader understanding and potential cultural connections.

My initial actions included investing in equipment—a new Mirrorless camera and professional microphone—to enhance the quality of photos and narration for the animated short, crucial for the project's development.

Moving forward, plans include completing the animated short, the project's centerpiece, followed by conducting research and gathering materials to explore diverse delivery methods. This involves deepening my understanding of museum exhibitions, documentaries, photographic techniques, and sourcing compelling content for the aforementioned project aspects.

Looking ahead, I envision creating a new presentation once the materials are ready, aimed at reintroducing the project to the immigration museum with an eye towards potential future exhibition opportunities post-renovation.
